Dear Parents,

Many of you have been asking about the schedule for the last week of school.  I already know of the rumors that are flying around regarding this topic.  If you heard that our last day of school is June 9^th, then you heard correctly.  As you know, we did have 2 snow days, and yes, I know we made up one of these days on April 24^th, however, we miscounted on the original calendar and were still short a day.  The schedule for the end of the school year is as follows:

Week of June 1-5    Full days       8AM to 3PM

Monday, June 8       half day        noon dismissal

Tuesday, June 9      Mass/awards/report cards  10AM dismissal

I know some of you have already made vacation plans for early June.  This is fine, please do not change your plans. We will mail the report cards to anyone who is not here on June 9^th .

I can also tell you the schedule for the beginning of the new school year. 

August   11   School Prep Day

August   24   First Day of School  Grades 1-8  10AM dismissal

August   27   First day for Kindergarten

August   31   First day for Pre-Kindergarten

A reminder that your first tuition payment for the new school year  is June 16^th.  New tuition rates will go home in the brown envelopes on Thursday.

It is also that time of the year when some of you are coming to me and requesting certain teachers. As I have mentioned before, all of our teachers are highly qualified and certified and do their best to meet your children’s educational needs.  When the teachers work on class lists they arrange the classes so that the make-up of the class forms the best possible learning environment/atmosphere for that class.  Therefore, this year I am not making any promises.

Please remember that all your financial obligations were to be met on April 16^th.  The first tuition payment for the 2009-2010 school year is due June 16^th.  Our office hours for the summer are as follows:

                  Everyday 6/10 through 6/17        9AM – Noon

                  Starting 6/24 every Wednesday   9AM – Noon

                  (except the week of the carnival)

                  Beginning 8/3 everyday               9AM – Noon
